School Colloquium——Perspectives on smooth dynamics and fractal geometry

报告摘要：
Fractal sets, such as attractors and repellers, occur naturally as invariant sets of smooth dynamical systems. Understanding their geometric properties—particularly their dimensions—has been a classical theme in dynamics. Given the vastness of this interplay, rather than attempting a comprehensive overview, I would like to share some of my personal perspectives by focusing on a few selected classical problems. If time admits, I will then report on our recent work in this direction.

许地生，大湾区大学教授，研究方向：动力系统，分形几何，谱理论，拔尖人才选拔培养，AI4Math, 曾在Acta Math., Invent. Math. ,Duke Math J. , JEMS, ASENS等国际期刊发表或接受论文，动力系统系列会议Beyond Uniform Hyperbolicity 组委会成员，曾多次担任冬令营及集训队命题和评审工作。
